Note
The Lindsays emigrated from Ireland in 1862 and were married in Saanich several years later. They had 10 children, the eldest born on the Rithet farm in 1868. George Lindsay was school trustee for the Lake School Royal Oak in 1870. The Lindsays owned Section 97 by 1873 and lived in the log cabin until they built a two-storey house on the property around 1893. The cabin has been used as a shed for many years.
