Bradshaw, Beatrice Eugene

Beatrice “Trix” Eugene Bradshaw was the daughter of Sarah and William George Bradshaw. 9 years after William George's death, Sarah and 6 of her 8 children moved from Placentia, Newfoundland to Victoria accompanied by William George's brother "Uncle Albert", arriving in 1907. Sarah's brother Augustus "Gus" Windsor, already living in Victoria, had a house built for the Bradshaws at 3701 Palo Alto Street. Trix attended Cedar Hill School followed by Central Junior High School. She attended the Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing and served as a Nursing Sister during the First World War.

Swan, George and Grace

George and Grace Swan were residents of 3937 Blenkinsop Road in the 1930s. Grace Swan died in 1976 at age 90, and George Swan died in 1983 at age 97.

Robinson, Ernest and Emma

Ernest Robinson was a jeweler and his wife Emma was a nurse. Ernest and Emma Robinson had no children.

Wenman family

John and Alice Wenman came to Victoria in 1912. They bought ten acres of land in the Gordon Head area of Saanich where they grew strawberries and daffodils. They had two sons who were notable local cricketers. Their son William Reginald Gower Wenman (Reg) married Evelyn Margaret Lytton, daughter of Claude and Ethel Lytton. The family home on Wenman Drive is on the Saanich heritage inventory.
