Note

Daughter Mena and son-in-law Dusty Miller were living in Cultus Lake at the time. Dusty was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Canadian Engineers and was stationed there, (Chilliwack). Ernest and Alice May moved there for two years so that Ernest could assist with establishing the Officers' Mess at the base.
