Donated to City of Victoria Archives by J.B. Bradstock, a former employee of the rock crushing plant, and subsequently transferred to Saanich Archives in 1997.

Additional info: In 1913, a rock crushing plant was in operation at the Christmas Hill quarry in Saanich. Rock from this quarry was used for the first paving of Quadra Street, from Tolmie Ave to Royal Oak.
