Fonds consists of papers and reports relating to Dr. Lai's community work, especially his work relating to Chinese heritage and Chinatown. Fonds includes materials from his time as Chair and member of the Saanich Heritage Advisory and Archival Committee, and to the Saanich Heritage Awareness Program in particular. Topics include Chinese-Canadian history, Chinatown, and D'Arcy Island. Includes correspondence, news clippings, articles, photographs, film negatives, colour slides, and posters. Collection consists largely of correspondence between 1945 and 1968 from Dr. Harry R. Lillie (d. 1990). Lillie was a Scottish surgeon, anti-whaling and anti-sealing activist, and author of books on conservation. Collection also includes photographs, postcards, greeting cards and news clippings.

Fonds consists chiefly of envelopes, mostly undated, addressed to neighbours of James Munroe Miller (possibly other school trustees). Includes correspondence from C.C. McKenzie, Superintendant of Education, dated 1876 and 1878. Also includes an undated letter from S.D. Pope regarding a position as principal of the high school, and a speech about James Munroe Miller given by his daughter, Laura L. Healy, in 1957.

Fonds consists primarily of photographs relating to the Underwood family, 1920-1970. In addition to images documenting family activities and homes, fonds includes photographs taken both locally and overseas relating to the WWII service of brothers Leslie, Ernest, and Ghazi Underwood; letters written by Ernest Underwood from a POW camp; ephemera dating from the end of the war and relating to returning soldiers; and WWII news clippings. Fonds includes school year books, 1955-1985, from Royal Oak High School, Royal Oak Middle School, Claremont High School, and Mount Newton Junior High. Fonds includes scrapbook of items collected by Emily Underwood during WW2 while her husband Leslie, Sr. was overseas, newspapers and periodical issues.

Fonds consists of Clara Windsor's writing box and includes 25 photographs primarily of members of the Windsor and Morry families dating from the 1870s to World War 1. Accession also includes 1 letter written to Clara Windsor McCoubrey dated 1898.
