Biographical history
Edith Lillian Ross was born in Manitoba in 1885. Raised in Nelson B.C., she married Edward Glover in 1926 and they moved to Saanich’s Lake Hill neighbourhood where Edward Glover built the family home at 915 Darwin Road. Edward Glover also helped to build the Lake Hill Women’s Institute Hall. Edith Lillian Glover was a member of the Lake Hill Women's Institute from the time of her arrival in Victoria until her death in 1966. When she died, the Lake Hill Women’s Institute donated a quilt in her honour to the Canadian Women's Institute.
