Ray Lamont on left. First council consisted of Reeve Sydney Pickles, Councillors Harold Andrew, Ray Lamont, Willard Michell, and Lorne Thompson. Building is Saanich Pioneer Log Cabin, which temporarily housed the municipal offices in 1951 until a Municipal & Fire Hall was built later that year.
