Biographical history
Henry Josias and Caroline Harriet Grace Dunn (nee Patten) came to Saanich from Ireland in 1901 and homesteaded on the property now known as Glanford Park (corner of Kenneth and Glanford) . H.J. Dunn served on Saanich Council in 1908. He died in Saanich in 1915. According to family members, H.J. Dunn planted trees on Kenneth Avenue. Caroline continued to live on Kenneth Street until her death in 1963. Henry and Caroline had four children: Kathleen (b. 1903), Josias (b. 1904), John Kirkland (b. 1908), and Gerald Fitzpatrick "Pat" (b. 1911).
