Biographical history

Helen Elizabeth Elliott was born in 1897 in Gainsborough, Assiniboia (Saskatchewan). She moved to Victoria in 1911 and began working for the District of Saanich in 1916 as a stenographer. Helen Elliott had a 39 year career with the Municipality, retiring as Chief Accountant and Assistant Comptroller in the 1950s.

Archival history

Donated in 1981 by Helen Elliott. The other records were transferred by the Clerk’s Office at an unknown date.
