Collection consists of photographs of various subjects including: municipal buildings, equipment and employees; views of various Saanich locations and structures; and early Saanich residents. Textual material includes photocopied documents relating to schools, ledgers, and certificates. Collection includes a commemorative plaque from the former Gyro Park pavilion, a watercolor painting of the Gorge, 1880 and of the Colquitz General Store, ca. 1988, and a prayer book containing loose ephemera, photographs, and news clippings from the WWI years and relating to the Ireland and Riley families.

Thomas and Catherine Nicholson family collection

Accession consists of 4 photograph albums, some loose photographs, and a number of postcards collected by members of the Nicholson family. Some photographs and postcards relate to the family's life in England, Royal Oak (Saanich) and Sidney BC. Three of the albums belonged to their son Arthur Nevil Nicholson (d. 1917), and those photographs relate to his life as an NWMP officer in Saskatchewan and his visits with his family in BC. Many of the postcards relate to a family named Robinson whose connection to Muriel Nicholson is unkown.
