Name of creator
Kenneth Reginald Genn was an accountant and auditor in Saanich. He was a member of the Saanich Town Planning Commission, later the Saanich Advisory Planning Commission, from its inception in 1951. Genn was a Saanich councillor from 1948 to 1949 and was a member of the Cordova Bay Community Club.

Fonds consists of records relating to Kenneth Reginald Genns' political and community activities in Saanich, including community planning meeting minutes and correspondence, records of the Community Chest campaign, and copies of petition for secession of Ward 6 (now Central Saanich). Fonds includes photographs of public works projects and staff in Saanich. Fonds also includes correspondence and account books for the Cordova Bay Community Club, along with an uninterrupted run (1948-1956) of its newsletter, Spindrift.
