Name of creator
Thomas M.W. Golby and his wife Joan (nee Campbell) built their home at 2850 Sea View Road on Ten Mile Point in 1936. Lieutenant Commander Thomas Golby was killed in 1943 when his ship, HMCS Weyburn, was sunk by enemy action overseas. The house has remained in the family. The couple’s daughter has kept many documents and photographs relating to the home.

Accession consists of property tax assessment notices for 2850 Sea View Road, and includes some correspondence relating to assessment appeal. Accession also includes photographs showing the construction of the house, a copy of the original bill for construction, and plans of a nearby grocery store and service station.
