Thomas M.W. Golby and his wife Joan (nee Campbell) built their home at 2850 Sea View Road on Ten Mile Point in 1936. Lieutenant Commander Thomas Golby was killed in 1943 when his ship, HMCS Weyburn, was sunk by enemy action overseas. The house has remained in the family. The couple’s daughter has kept many documents and photographs relating to the home.
