Note
On Saturday, July 19, 1919, there was a huge parade in downtown Victoria celebrating the signing of the Peace Treaty at Versailles. The newspaper coverage of this is extensive and there is a detailed description of the Red Cross floats. It seems likely that this was the Red Cross ambulance used in the parade. The two soldiers are not identified. The photos may be taken in front of the union club on Gordon Street.
