Note
Before she married William R. Pridmore. Hancina worked for Mrs. Dunsmuir as a lady's maid, and Hansina's father Peter Bugslag also worked for the family in the gardens and made many of the fixtures there. The Bugslag family lived in a gate house on the Dunsmuir property. William R. Pridmore met Hansina Bugslag at Royal Roads; he was hired to use his horse team to haul stone and fill for the Dunsmuirs. Additional info from donor: woman at left is Madeline Warren, who also worked for Mrs. Dunsmuir. She is standing with her husband and child. Man at right is possibly Mr. Francis of Francis Jewellers, a suitor of Hancina's.
